Local 630 Endorse Angela Corey for State Attorney

The members of Northeast Florida Public Employees Local 630, announce their endorsement of Angela Corey, Republican candidate in the 2008, Fourth Judicial Circuit State Attorney race.
Members of the Local 630 Union unanimously endorsed Corey at a regularly scheduled meeting in January. Local 630 is affiliated with the powerful Laborers’ International Union of North America (L.I.U.N.A) and currently represents approximately 850 public and private employees across North Florida. Union Business Manager, Andy Bemis, said the union is confident in the qualifications of Angela Corey and is certain she is the best choice for State Attorney.
“We reviewed the qualifications and background of the candidates and Angela Corey was our overwhelming choice. She has a reputation as a qualified, hard working and devoted public servant. We know she will work hard to improve the quality of life for our members in her role as State Attorney for Duval, Clay and Nassau Counties. Her impact will be vital in curbing the growing violence locally,” said Bemis.
Mr. Bemis is joined by the leadership of his organization in their collective determination to see Corey elected. “We have built a legacy of active political campaigning, most recently in the 2007 City Council elections Local 630 endorsed and helped on the campaigns of Clay Yarborough and Ray Holt as well as many other candidates. Angela Corey is the best candidate and we will work tirelessly to get her elected,” he said.
“I am humbled and so delighted to be endorsed by the members of this fine organization representing some of the hardest working people in our area. Their confidence in me as a candidate devoted to fighting crime and prosecuting those who prey on the weakest among us is such an honor," said Ms. Corey. |
