
HOMICIDE AND THE DEATH PENALTY
Angela’s extensive trial experience and her handling of complex homicide litigation has allowed her to train police and prosecutors on a state and national basis
on homicides and the death penalty.
Angela served as the Chairman of the FPAA DEATH PENALTY SEMINAR annually from 1994 to 1999. In addition to chairing the seminars, she has lectured on the topics of “ Victim Impact”and “Legal and Practical Tips on Various Aspects of Death Cases”.
Angela was chosen by the FPAA Death Penalty Committee Chair, the Honorable Jerry Blair, State Attorney, Third Judicial Circuit, to be part of the statewide Death Penalty Committee. She participated in training at the National Advocacy Center in 2005 and then went on to lecture on “Closing Arguments in Capital Cases” at a Capital Litigation Seminar, sponsored jointly by the Florida Prosecuting Attorney’s Association, The Bureau of Justice Administration, and the National District Attorney’s Association in February, 2006, in Gainesville, Florida.
Angela presented a lecture to the Indiana Prosecuting Attorney’s Association on “Opening Statements and Closing Arguments in Death Penalty Cases” in October of 2006.

Angela has also assisted the FPAA by lecturing on basic homicide topics such as “Forensic Issues at Homicide Scenes”, “Homicide 101-Analysis of a Homicide”-April, 2003, and “Homicide 201-Effective Closing Arguments/Ethics”
